Castles & country houses
The royal forests of Lage Vuursche invite you for a nice walk, a refreshing bike ride or a challenging outdoor activity. Take a walk past Drakensteyn Castle, where Princess Beatrix lives, or cycle past Soestdijk Palace. The area has numerous old castles and country houses, some of which can be visited. One of these old castles is Groeneveld Castle.
Museums & shopping
If you visit us privately, a visit to Beeld en Geluid at the Mediapark in Hilversum is definitely worthwhile. Want to go shopping? Hotel Ernst Sillem Hoeve is also just a stone’s throw from Amersfoort, Hilversum, Laren, Zeist and Utrecht. All of these are great for shopping and strolling around.
